- Gets the guitar in a great position for playing.
- Creates secure positioning for difficult movements.
Cons - Causes back and hip pain with prolonged use.
- Not always attractive for female players.

Pros
- Maintains good position for playing.
- Keeps both feet on ground and good for back and hip.
Cons - Still rotates back while playing.
- Sometimes insecure feeling while playing (guitar shifts).
Classical Guitar and the Strap
Pros - Keeps feet on the ground and good for back and hip.
- Allows standing with the guitar
Cons - Sometimes hard to get the same position achieved while standing.
- Smaller players feel guitar "slips" or moves during playing.
- Many feel their right arm falls "asleep" while playing.
