Certification at The Rosette Room is still in the process of development. However, below is a list of reasons The Rosette Room would like to offer certification for classical guitar instruction.

• Offer continuing education to guitar instructors around the world.
• Allow students to know that their instructor of classical guitar has a good understanding of its key concepts
• Allow teachers to benefit from certification through economic increases due to qualifications

The certification at The Rosette Room will be targeted to:

• Guitar teachers without formal education in classical guitar
• Those seeking validation to students for their expertise in classical guitar pedagogy
• The amateur seeking to pursue a depth of understanding on classical guitar
• The student wishing to increase their knowledge of classical guitar technique, theory, and composition

Areas of certification will include the following:

• Technical - understanding of movement and placement
• Lessons - pedagogical understanding of classical guitar fundamentals
• Artistry - the ability to move from just teaching pieces to actual music mastery and expression
• Theory - theory as it applies to classical guitar repertoire and composition
• Musicianship - ability to master the "hearing" part of the guitar
